The Department of Veterans Affairs Boston Regional Office is located in the John F. Kennedy Federal Building in Government Center across from Boston City Hall. Visitors should use the main entrance on Cambridge Street. Upon clearing security, take the elevator to the 16th floor. Public Contact and Veterans Readiness & Employment (VRE) are located in 1660.

Via I-95 North from Connecticut & Rhode Island

Route 95 North to the Boston area
At Norton/Canton Area take 93 South ("To Boston")
At Braintree take 93 (left split) toward Boston
Several miles on South Expressway — enter South Station Tunnel
Exit tunnel on to Central Artery elevated highway
Exit #25 to Causeway Street — down ramp
Left onto Causeway
2nd left onto Canal Street — go to end of street
Right on to New Chardon Street
Cross over light at Congress Street
Immediate left into parking garage
The JFK Federal Building runs parallel to the parking garage across New Sudbury Street.

Via Route 3 North from Cape Cod

Take Route 3 N
Take exit 20B to merge onto I-93 N toward Boston
Take exit 26 toward Storrow Drive
Keep left at the fork, follow signs for MA-28 N/Leverett Cir/N Station
Turn right at Nashua Street
Turn left at Cotting St/Red Auerbach Way
Continue onto Staniford Street
The JFK Federal Building runs parallel to the parking garage across New Sudbury Street.

Via I-93 South from New Hampshire and Vermont

Route I-93 South to Exit #25, Haymarket exit
At bottom of ramp, mandatory right turn at traffic lights
Cross over next light at Congress Street
Immediate left into parking garage
The JFK Federal Building runs parallel to the parking garage across New Sudbury Street.

Massachusetts Turnpike East

Take the Massachusetts Turnpike (Route I-90) East
At the end of the Mass Pike take the middle Exit 24B to I-93 North, this will put you into Boston’s new Liberty Tunnel
After entering the tunnel, get into the right hand lane and take Exit 23, a right-hand exit (Government Center)
As you exit get in the left lane and at the first set of lights, turn left onto North Street (you will see the Millennium Hotel straight ahead)
Continue on North Street to the end, staying in the right lane and turn right onto Congress Street
Continue on Congress Street and get into the left lane; you will see the Kinney System Parking Garage straight ahead of you
Continue driving under the parking garage and make your first left onto New Chardon Street
At the second set of lights take a left onto Cambridge Street
Immediately get into the left lane
At the first set of lights take a left onto New Sudbury Street
Get into the left lane
The JFK Federal Building is on the right hand side
About halfway down the street on your left hand side you will see an entrance to the garage. Park here and cross the street to enter the building
The main entrance is located towards Cambridge Street (up the hill).

From Western Suburbs Via Route 2/Storrow Drive

Route 2 to Storrow Drive inbound to Boston
Stay on Storrow to vicinity of Mass. General Hospital — stay in right lanes
Exit Storrow up onto ramp leading to Central Artery
Right hand fork to Artery South
Immediate exit via Exit #25 to Haymarket
Mandatory right at end of ramp
Cross over light at Congress Street
Immediate left into parking garage
The JFK Federal Building runs parallel to the parking garage across New Sudbury Street.

Using the MBTA

Take any Green line or Blue line car to Government Center T Station.
The JFK Federal Building is located directly across from City Hall Plaza.

Arriving at Logan Airport

Take Mass Port shuttle bus to Blue Line T Station
Take Blue Line to Government Center
(A taxi from Logan to Government Center is a second option and costs approximately $15.)

Parking

There are some parking garages in the area, but they fill quickly and are expensive.
