Winston-Salem VA Regional Office Validates Downtown Parking Fees for Veteran Visitors

PLEASE NOTE: The 3rd & Main Street Public Parking Facility will be CLOSED for Veteran parking on the following dates:
Wednesday, November 27, through Friday, November 29, 2024
Monday, December 23, 2024, through Friday, January 3, 2025

Veterans and their dependents can receive free parking validation for VA appointments or walk-in services with the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) office.

To obtain a free parking validation, visitors must park their vehicle at the designated 3rd & Main Street Public Parking Facility, enter through the North Church Street parking entrance, and request a parking validation from the VBA public contact office upon check-in.



VERA Appointment Scheduler

Visitors seeking assistance from our Public Contact Team are encouraged to schedule a virtual or in-person appointment on the Visitor Engagement Reporting Application (VERA).

Veterans may continue to interact with the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) virtually to access benefits information online or when filing a claim online. For claim-specific questions call 1-800-827-1000.

Cycling Heals Vets Connect

Wounded Warriors/disabled Veterans, Veterans and the public are invited to join in at Salem Lake for a bike ride, jogging, walking, or fishing and the Fellowship. Hosted by Operation North State.

Are you an Alaska Native Vietnam-era Veteran?

You may be entitled to a Native allotment selection, if you are an Alaska Native Vietnam Veteran who served between 1964 and 1971, AND have not received a Native allotment, OR are an heir to someone who meets the above criteria. For more information, visit the Bureau of Land Management website.
