More About the Albuquerque Regional Benefit Office

Partnering in New Disability Rating System

The Albuquerque RO has implemented an Integrated Disability Evaluation System (IDES), which is a joint effort between VA and the Department of Defense (DOD) to improve the disability rating system. The Albuquerque RO is implementing IDES at two of the three Air Force bases located in New Mexico—Kirtland and Cannon. We also work closely with the Albuquerque and Amarillo VA Medical Centers, Clovis Community-Based Outpatient Clinic, and DOD staff to provide prompt and complete services to IDES participants.

Operating in Newly Renovated Facility

The Albuquerque RO is pleased to announce that our facility renovation is complete. Now, all of us who work with Veterans and Veterans Service Organizations—Support Services, Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment, Appeals, Mail/Triage, and Public Contact—are on the same third floor of the building. This allows us to provide fast and convenient customer service to all Veterans, Servicemembers, their families and survivors.
