VA in partnership with Mayor Dennis J. Scheessele's Office of Indian Head, the Gospel Union Church of Christ, the National Vietnam Veterans Foundation and other agencies that are stakeholders and supporters of Veterans, will co-host the Indian Head Village Veterans' Outreach Event. Various agencies will attend this event to provide information regarding programs and services that benefit our Veterans. Veterans will have an opportunity to apply for jobs and submit their resumes to representatives from the private sector. Vendors are being recruited to provide on-site services at no charge to Veterans, their family members, survivors, and caregivers. All handouts and giveaway items are related to Veterans' benefits and job employment.

"Women Veterans Rock" will host a retreat for women Servicemembers, Veterans, and dependents. The retreat will have panels and roundtables, including the power to overcome self-imposed limitations, leading and leveraging by example, executive coaching, and power networking with women businesses, community, and civic leaders.
