Regularly Occurring Outreach at local VAMCs

The Pittsburgh Regional Office delegates a representative to conduct regularly occurring outreach at local VA Medical Centers in and around the Pittsburgh area, as described below:

Location: University Drive, Main building, 1st floor (Next to the Patient Advocate, main floor)
When: 1st Wednesday of each month | 8:00am-4:30pm
Target Audience: All Veterans

Location: Aspinwall, (Palliative Care; Building 51 Room 1A117 in the B hall of 1 South)
When: 2nd Wednesday of the month | 8:00am-4:30pm
Target Audience: Hospitalized and Hospice Veterans

Location: Aspinwall, Building 69 (Domiciliary)
When: 4th Wednesday of the month | 8:00am-4:30pm
Target Audience: Homeless Veterans, CWT participants, Domiciliary Residents

Location: Butler VAMC, OEF/OIF Clinic
When: 3rd Friday of the month | 8:00am-4:30pm
Target Audience: All Veterans

Veterans, their families, and community stakeholders are invited to attend the upcoming Veterans Town Hall events at the James E. Van Zandt VAMC Auditorium in Altoona, PA on Wednesday, June 1, 2016; at the Cranberry VA CBOC on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 5:30 pm; and at the Pittsburgh VAMC University Drive Campus Learning eXchange in Oakland on Friday, June 10, 2016 at 1:00pm.

During the Town Hall events, leadership from the VAMC will be on site to meet with Veterans and listen to their feedback. Leadership from the Pittsburgh Regional Office will also be in attendance. Veterans and their families are encouraged to share both positive VA experiences and opportunities for improvement regarding services offered at the VAMC and the Pittsburgh Regional Office.

The town halls, which are open to the public, are part of the ongoing effort to hear from Veterans and the community and to use this feedback to improve VA care and services. Front line employees- including experts from the Veterans Benefits Administration- will be available to offer on-the-spot assistance at the town halls hosted in Altoona and Pittsburgh.
