SGLI continues free for 120 days after placed on Temporary Disability Retired List. Conversion to VGLI with no Health Requirements up to 240 Days. Conversion to VGLI with Health Requirements from 240 Days to 485 Days. SGLI can be converted to VGLI and No insurance coverage from 121 days to the day SGLI is converted to VGLI from 121 Days to 485 Days. SGLI can no longer be converted after 485 Days.
