Darryl Brady was appointed as the Director of the Jackson Regional Office in May 2024. As Director, Darryl is responsible for administering monthly compensation and pension benefits to approximately 227,335 veterans and their dependents living in the state of Mississippi. Of those Veterans, currently 35,271 are in receipt of monthly benefits. He is also responsible for providing Vocational Rehabilitation Services, placement assistance and Independent Living Services to the disabled veteran population of Mississippi.
Prior to Darryl’s appointment as the Director of the Jackson Regional Office he was the Director of the Hartford Regional Office. Prior to Darryl's appointment as Director of the Hartford Regional Office, he served as the Assistant Director of the Houston Regional Office. He was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the regional office, which included the Veterans Service Center, the Regional Loan Center, Vocational Rehabilitation & Employment Division, and the Support Services Division. The station's jurisdiction included 90 counties in southern Texas, Mexico, Central and South America, and the Caribbean.
Mr. Brady started his career with the Department of Veterans Affairs at the Chicago Regional Office in 1986. He began as a File Clerk and progressed to higher positions to include Rating Veterans Service Representative before being selected as a Consultant for Compensation and Pension Service in September 2000.
Ms. Craig was appointed Assistant Director for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Jackson Regional Office on June 5, 2022. She assists the Director in the managment of all aspects of the Regional Office and assumes full responsibility for the station's activities in the Director's absence. The Jackson Regional Office provides compensation benefits and Veteran Readiness and Employment services to over 190,842 Veterans and their families in 82 counties in Mississippi.
Prior to her appoinment as the Assistant Director of the Jackson RO, Ms. Craig served as the Veterans Service Center Manager of the San Juan Regional Office.
She was responsible for administering a full range of non-medical benefits provided to Veterans and their dependents living in Puerto Rico and the United States Virgin Islands.
Ms. Craig began her career with the Department ofo Veterans Affairs at the Detroit Regional Office in 1990. She held various technical positions with increased responsibilities within the Veterans Service Center (VSC) and acted as the Assistant Director of the New Orleans Regional Office on a detail assignment. She also served as Chief in Pension and Fiduciary Service in VA Central Office, Washington DC where she manged publication of regulations to streamline pension benefits.
She is a graduate of the Leadership Enhancement and Development Program (LEAD) and Leadership Development Program (LDP) class of 2011.
