Meet Our Leadership Team

 

 

Director: Sergio S. Chao

Mr. Sergio S. Chao was appointed Director of the Oakland Regional Office in 2022. A United States Army Veteran, Mr. Chao is and now is responsible for the delivery of VA benefits and services to Veterans and their dependents in Northern California. Mr. Chao previously served as the Director of the Honolulu Regional Office and Assistant Director of the Phoenix VA Regional Office.

 

Assistant Director: Christopher McNair 

Mr. Christopher McNair was appointed Assistant Director of the Oakland Regional Office in 2024. A United States Navy Veteran, Mr. McNair previously served as the Veterans Service Center Manager of the Honolulu Regional Office.

Veterans Service Center Manager (VSCM): Jaime Alicea

Mr. Jaime Alicea was appointed as Veterans Service Center Manager for the Oakland Regional Office in September 2022. Prior to this Assignment Mr. Alicea was the the assistant Service Center Manager at the Sacramento Satellite Office.

Veteran Readiness and Employment Officer (VREO): Rodney G. Hackney

Mr. Rodney Hackney was appointed to this position in November 2012. He provides division-level oversight of the VR&E services provided by the Oakland Regional Office.

Support Services Division Chief Anedra Conlan 

Ms. Anedra Conlan was appointed to this position in October 2023. She provides division-level oversight of the Support Services Division for the Oakland Regional Office.
