Director: Donna Meyer-Hickel

Donna Meyer-Hickel was appointed Executive Director of the Department of Veterans Affairs Regional Office in Chicago, Illinois, effective January 13, 2025. Prior to this appointment, she was the Director of the Department of Veterans Affairs Regional Office in Wichita, Kansas.  She was previously the Assistant Director of the St. Paul, Minnesorta VA Regional Office.

Herbert Morris

Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E) Officer: Herbert Morris

Herbert Morris was appointed to this position in 2014, previouosly the Assistant VR&E Officer at the Muskogee RO.  He enlisted in the US Army in 1981, serving as a paratrooper.  Herbert also served in Iraq and Saudi Arabia during Desert Shield and Desert Storm, and was also stationed in Bosnia.  Herbert was a Drill Sergeant at Fort Jackson and retired from the military at his last duty station in Ft. Sill, Oklahoma in 2001.  Mr. Morris is a product of VA's Chapter 31 program; his first VA position was in 2005 as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor at the Detroit RO.  In 2007, Herbert transferred to the Muskogee RO.
