Director: Shawn Bohn

Shawn Bohn was appointed the Director of the Dakotas Regional Office in March 2016. He previously served as Veterans Service Center Manager at the Sioux Falls Regional Office. He administers benefits and services to over 155,675 Veterans, Servicemembers, their families and survivors in North Dakota, South Dakota, and 15 counties in northwestern Minnesota. He is responsible for delivering about $422 million in annual benefit payments to more than 34,000 Veterans. He leads employees staffing the Regional Offices in Sioux Falls, Rapid City, and Fort Meade, S.D., and in Fargo and Bismarck, N.D.

Supervisory Staff Assistant: Tracee Metcalf

Tracee Metcalf began working as the Veterans Service Center Manager for the Sioux Falls Regional Office in November 2022. She currently leads a team of over 110 employees in two different locations. She previously served as an Assistant Veterans Service Center Manager at the Waco Regional Office in Texas. Tracee’s federal career started in 2006 as a Veterans Service Representative at the Hartford Regional Office in Connecticut.

Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment Officer: Wayne Moten

Wayne Moten came on board with the Fargo and Sioux Falls Regional Office as the Supervisor Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor (SVRC) in July 2022. He became Acting Veteran Readiness and Employment Officer (Acting VREO) in December 2022. He was selected as the Veteran Readiness and Employment Officer (VREO) in November 2023. He currently leads a team of 13 employees located in two states and three different locations. Wayne’s federal career started in 1997 as a Food Inspector for the Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) in Alabama. He resigned from this employment in 2000 to pursue another avenue. He came back to federal employment in 2013 as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor (VRC) with the Muskogee Regional Office in Oklahoma.
