Announcement!

Per Circular 26-24-13 transmission of Full File Loan Review (FFLR) documents to VA is required for all loans selected for a FFLR on or after November 4, 2024. As of this date, LGY will no longer accept files received via manual upload to WebLGY Correspondence in response to an FFLR request. Failure to comply could result in a lender’s inability to make VA loans.

Lenders who use a third-party Loan Origination System (LOS) should engage their technology provider in discussions regarding implementation of a Loan Review integration and encourage them to collaborate with LGY. Lenders with a proprietary LOS or a desire to build their own integration should request a discussion with the Loan Origination Transformation (LOT) API Implementation Team by visiting the LGY Help Center and selecting ‘API Support’ as the product for which you are seeking support.

Program Overview

VA’s Loan Guaranty Service (LGY) is undertaking an effort to transform its technology. This section will be your go-to resource for the latest developments on these transformation initiatives, that include the use of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). API Circular

API documentation and information

VA will take a phased approach in deploying the various APIs to realize its full transformation strategy. The Loan Review API was released to production in January 2023, followed by Pre-Close API beta version testing availability as of September 2023, with subsequent releases of the Pre-Close API to cover multiple borrower purchase loans, Interest Rate Reduction Refinancing Loans (IRRRLs), and Cash-out Refinance loans. Other APIs will be released over the next couple of years.

VHB PPM 1.1.1 release ensured Lenders have the ability to update the existing Point of Contact (POC) types associated with an existing POC in their lender account and it is saved to the record.

LGY 25.4.2 | COE

LGY 25.4.2 release ensured lenders are able to submit Certificate of Eligibility (COE) applications from the Automated COE screen. This enhancement provides value to Veterans by creating efficient workflow processes, resulting in increased efficiency for LGY staff in the delivery of the home loan and SAH benefits to Veterans.

VHB PPM 1.1.0 | PPM

VHB PPM 1.1.0 release created an automatic annual validation process of program participants in SAM.gov, automatic deactivation of lender accounts that fail to complete the annual renewal / validation process, and internal user review of active PPM users. This release also allowed VARM users to update the Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) and Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) data points in the “Company Information” tab. Additionally, updates were made to as well as the payment bypass and second approval assigning supervisors within Regional Loan Centers (RLCs). Lastly, there were updates to the agent name and tax identification display proper renewal dates for agents created within the last 90 days.
