FROM THE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Upon leaving the airport terminal, merge left and enter Highway 5 East. Go East on Highway 5 approximately three-quarter (3/4) mile. Merge right and exit onto Highway 55 North toward Minneapolis. Follow Highway 55 one-half (1/2) mile and exit right on Bloomington Rd./ Fort Snelling exit. Turn right at the stop sign and drive under the highway. (Follow green signs noting Federal Building.) Follow Bloomington Rd. one (1) block and turn right at the first street. The Federal Building is in front of you.

FROM THE NORTH OR FROM MINNEAPOLIS

Follow I 35 W Southbound. After driving approximately five (5) miles South of downtown Minneapolis, merge left and exit onto Highway 62 (also called Crosstown Highway). Go East on Highway 62 approximately four (4) miles and exit on Bloomington Rd. The Federal Building is on your right.

FROM ST. PAUL

Follow I 35E South approximately five (5) miles and exit at Hwy 110 Westbound. Drive about one (1) mile merging with Hwy 55 West over the Mendota Bridge. After the bridge, follow the Bloomington Rd. / Historic Ft. Snelling exit. Within one-quarter (1/4) mile exit right on Bloomington Rd. Turn right at the stop sign and drive under the highway. (Follow green signs noting Federal Building.) Follow Bloomington Rd. one (1) block and turn right at the first street. The Federal Building is in front of you.

FROM THE EAST

Enter the Twin Cities Metro area on I 94. Exit onto I 494 Southbound. Follow I 494 South around the Metro area approximately fifteen (15) miles. Exit right onto East Highway 5 (Airport Terminals/ Fort Snelling.) Go East on Highway 5 approximately one (1) mile, passing the Airport. Merge right and exit onto Highway 55 North toward Minneapolis. Follow Highway 55 one-half (1/2) mile and exit right on Bloomington Rd. / Fort Snelling exit. Turn right at the stop sign and drive under the highway. (Follow green signs noting Federal Building.) Follow Bloomington Rd. one (1) block and turn right at the first street. The Federal Building is in front of you.

FROM THE SOUTH

Enter the Twin Cities Metro area on I 35W North to I 494. Exit East onto I 494. Follow I 494 approximately seven (7) miles. After you pass Hwy 77, exit right onto Highway 5. Go East on Highway 5 approximately one (1) mile, passing the Airport. Merge right and exit onto Highway 55 North toward Minneapolis. Follow Highway 55 one-half (1/2) mile and exit right on Bloomington Rd. / Fort Snelling exit. Turn right at the stop sign and drive under the highway. (Follow green signs noting Federal Building.) Follow Bloomington Rd. one (1) block and turn right at the first street. The Federal Building is in front of you.

FROM THE WEST

Depending upon where you enter the Twin Cities Metro area, go South/East on I 494. After you pass Hwy 77, exit right onto Highway 5. Go East on Highway 5 approximately one (1) mile, passing the Airport. Merge right and exit onto Highway 55 North toward Minneapolis. Follow Highway 55 one-half (1/2) mile and exit right on Bloomington Rd. / Fort Snelling exit. Turn right at the stop sign and drive under the highway. (Follow green signs noting Federal Building.) Follow Bloomington Rd. one (1) block and turn right at the first street. The Federal Building is in front of you.

 

Public Transportation

The Regional Office is located at the Fort Snelling stop of the Twin Cities Metro Transit Blue Line. Please refer to the Plan a Trip function at http://www.metrotransit.org/ to determine the best route to the Regional Office.

Parking

The Bishop Henry Whipple Federal Building provides free on-site parking. The entrance to the visitors and handicapped parking areas are accessed from the road in front of the building through the guard station.
