VA’s Phoenix Regional Office (RO) administers a variety of services, including Compensation, Education, Insurance, Pension, and Veteran Readiness and Employment for Veterans, Service members, their families and survivors in Arizona.

We offer the following additional services:

  • Counseling about eligibility for VA benefits and how to apply;
  • Information about VA health care and memorial benefits;
  • Outreach to Veterans, including those who are homeless or at risk for homelessness and older, minority, and women Veterans; and
  • Public affairs.

Helping Our Newest Veterans Get the Help They May Have Earned

The Phoenix RO actively supports VA’s mission to provide outstanding service to our newest Veteran population: Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF)/Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF)/Operation New Dawn (OND) Veterans. On the first and third Wednesday of every month, the RO sends two experienced employees to the Phoenix VA Medical Center to brief and assist these Veterans with the claims process. RO employees provide individual claims assistance in a private, safe environment. Attendees are also encouraged to frequent recurring sessions for information about the status of their claims or to ask questions about VA benefits.

Enhancing VA’s Customer Service with the National Call Center

The Phoenix RO houses one of eight VA National Call Centers, which centralizes phone inquiries and allows employees to focus on serving Veterans. The number to call is 1-800-827-1000.
